I’m exploring carbon fluxes in microbial communities, by combining metabolic labeling with omics approaches to identify active key players and characterize the function of microbial subpopulations. My current research employs single cell sorting of labeled cells for targeted isolation and cultivation of microbial interaction partners, to provide insight into microbial 'dark matter'.
