Postdoctoral Researcher Position in the Field of Vampiristic
Interactions among Bacteria

Join the Cluster of Excellence "Balance of the Microverse" at Friedrich Schiller University Jena! We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to explore vampiristic interactions among bacteria. This project focuses on studying the physiology, metabolism, and molecular interactions of a newly cultivated parasitic bacterium from the Candidate Phyla Radiation (CPR) and its host. Using cutting-edge transcriptomics, proteomics, and cryo-TEM imaging, we aim to uncover the molecular mechanisms of host exploitation and specificity.
