Microorganisms do not live in isolation but interact with each other and their environment. Despite their importance in maintaining ecosystem service and well-being, we still have much to learn about the ecological processes involved in microbiome dynamics. Given the increasing volume of data, modelling has proven to be a powerful tool to answer questions about microbiome composition, stability, diversity, and evolution.
On 19 October, 2023, VEO group member Xiu Jia and Aristeides Litos together with Marco Mauri from Rosalind Allen’s group of Theoretical Microbial Ecology is organizing a symposium on Modelling Ecology and Evolution of Microbiomes.
If you are interested in, please save the date and don’t hesitate to register before 29 September. Registration is free of charge. Virtual attendance is possible (will be posted soon).
